Evan C. Nelson is a seasoned trial lawyer with 30 years of substantial litigation and courtroom experience. He has practiced at leading law firms, served as in-house corporate counsel, and worked as a solo practitioner. In February 2026, he joined the Walnut Creek law firm of Brothers Smith as a partner.

When non-litigation efforts do not result in a fair resolution of disputes, Evan loves to employ his extensive, high level litigation experience and strategies to aggressively litigate client matters for Brothers Smith to position them for successful resolution through mediation, arbitration or trials.

Evan also has significant experience with post-trial motions and appeals, which further allows him to protect his clients’ interests before, during and after trial.
